The Pen House is a specialist stationery shop built on one idea: for pens, the brand on the barrel already tells you most of what you need to know. So we organise everything by maker.

Staedtler out of Nuremberg, Posca from Uni Mitsubishi in Japan, Parker, Sharpie, Uni, Paper Mate and Artline each get a proper page: who they are, what they are known for, and which of their ranges does what. We keep the selection considered rather than endless, write our own page for every brand, and explain the differences plainly so you can choose with confidence.

What each brand page covers

Each brand hub gives you the background: country of origin, when the maker was founded, what they are known for, and which of their ranges serves which purpose. A Staedtler page covers the Triplus Fineliner's 0.3mm metal-clad tip and the Noris pencil's classroom credentials. A Posca page covers water-based pigment, opacity on different surfaces, and which nib size to start with.

The comparison tool lets you put two or three brands side by side - origin, what each is known for, lines stocked, price range and who each one suits. It is the quickest way to settle a "Posca or Sharpie?" or "Staedtler or Artline?" question.
